Winners invited to take part in the national final at The K Club legendary Palmer North Course just two weeks after the Irish Open.
Waterford, 10th June 2025 – We were delighted to host the 2025 Audi quattro Cup regional competition at Faithlegg Golf Club on Friday, 6th June. A total of 90 golfers in 45 teams joined us for a fantastic day of golf in a stunning setting.
Congratulations to Gerard Maher and Damien Maher, who emerged as winners with a score of 44 points. They now hold the title of Audi Waterford quattro Cup champions and, along with the next five highest-ranking teams, will go on to represent us at the Audi Ireland national quattro Cup final at The K Club on 22nd September. As one of Ireland’s most iconic golf venues, The K Club has hosted the Ryder Cup, Irish Open, and many other world-class events – and this September, it will welcome our national finalists to its fairways.
Regional quattro Cup events are currently taking place at some of Ireland’s best golf courses, giving Audi customers across the country the chance to qualify for the national final. The winning team at the final will go on to represent Ireland at the Audi quattro Cup World Final in November – an extraordinary opportunity to play at one of the most prestigious courses in the world. Past destinations include Los Cabos (Mexico), Western Cape (South Africa), and Dubai (UAE).
Now in its 35th year, the Audi quattro Cup is the largest amateur golf tournament in the world, welcoming over 70,000 golfers globally each season.
Brendan Walsh, General Manager at Audi Waterford, commented:
“It’s always a highlight of our year to welcome customers to our quattro Cup event. We had a fantastic turnout at Faithlegg Golf Club and a brilliant day of golf despite the challenging weather conditions. Thank you to everyone who joined us, and best of luck to our finalists as they prepare for the national final at The K Club.”
Our event at Faithlegg was the third of nine regional quattro Cup events taking place throughout May, June, and July at top Championship courses around the country. Over 1,100 Audi customers and guests will take part this year – all with the goal of representing Ireland on the world stage.
The quattro Cup is a team competition with two players per team. It’s open exclusively to Audi customers and their chosen teammate. The maximum handicap is 36 (index) per player and 56 (index) per team, with a maximum handicap difference of 20 points between teammates.
