Audi Waterford Back New F1 Team.

Exciting news for motorsports fans! We are proud to announce that we will be sponsoring a new Formula One at Schools team, Venturi F1. This talented group of young engineers and racers are embarking on the 2023 season, and we wish them all the best as they take on the competition.

With the recent announcement of Audi's entry into the 2026 Formula One season, we thought it was only fitting that we support the sport at a grassroots level. Formula One at Schools is an international program that challenges students to design, build, and race miniature Formula One cars. The program promotes STEM education and provides students with real-world experience in engineering, project management, and teamwork.

The Venturi F1 team is composed of talented students from Coláiste Mhuire, Johnstown, Kilkenny, and they have already made a name for themselves in the Formula One at Schools community. With our support, they will have the resources they need to build a competitive car and showcase their skills on the track.

We are thrilled to be a part of this exciting journey and can't wait to see what Venturi F1 will achieve in the 2023 season. Stay tuned for updates on their progress, and let's all cheer them on as they represent Coláiste Mhuire, Johnstown, Kilkenny on the international stage.

Formula One in Schools is an international STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education program that challenges students to design, build, and race miniature Formula One cars. The program was created to inspire and engage students in STEM subjects and provide them with hands-on experience in engineering, project management, and teamwork.

Students form teams of up to six members and work together to design, build, and race their own miniature Formula One cars. The cars are powered by compressed air and are raced on a 20-meter track. Teams are also required to present their engineering designs and explain how their car was made during a technical inspection.

The program is open to students of all ages and backgrounds, and teams can compete in regional, national, and international races. The international competition culminates in a World Championship event, where the winning team is awarded a trophy and prizes.

Formula One in Schools provides students with valuable life skills and experience that will benefit them in their future careers, regardless of whether they choose to pursue a career in engineering, motorsports, or another field. The program also helps to promote STEM education and inspire the next generation of engineers and scientists.
